Fujifilm Announces New Pro Rental Service

By Anthony Thurston on March 8th 2015

It was announced a few days ago that Fujifilm will launch a new PRO Rental and Repair service come March 16th. The new service will be available to professional photographers who would like to rent Fujifilm cameras, be it at your home or a remote location. The other great aspect to this new program is the discounted rates that will be available for Fujifilm customers with gear in for repair. This will allow you to get the same gear you have in for repair, so it will have as little effect on your workflow as possible.

Return shipping will be as easy as ever, with a simple return label included in each package, allowing you to just place the new label on the box and ship it out. Easy peasy. The new service will be available in little over a week, and will have its own dedicated website at

Personally, I think this is a smart move from Fuji. Many of the larger camera rental outfits currently have fairly limited Fujifilm supply, and it can be hard to get Fuji gear via rental. This gives people an avenue to rent Fuji gear, directly from Fuji, and that is a great thing. It will be interesting to see what price comes down to.

Currently the new website,, is not active, and just links to an image with information about the service so we don’t have any idea what prices, terms, etc, for the new service will be quite yet. But, knowing Fuji, it will be quite competitive.

I am excited to get a chance to rent some Fuji gear that I have not tried yet to this point. Stay tuned for more details come March 16th or as they become available.

No pro rental service in Canada. I’d make a sad face emoticon but I prefer to put a full sentence’s worth of effort into my disappointment.
