Love her or hate her, you’ve got to admit that some of Taylor Swift’s songs are pretty catchy. Personally, I love almost all her songs, love to edit to her albums and then start to loathe them all because soon all her songs are just about everywhere. EVERYWHERE.
That’s how I feel about Taylor’s latest single, ‘Blank Space.’ I loved this song almost the moment I heard it on her album…and now, it gets played every 16 minutes on all the radio stations. It’s on the slippery slope to the dark side, but before it gets to the point of utter annoyance, I’ll still sing along. And then there’s this version, our Friday Funny for today.
In ‘Make You Look Like Taylor,’ James Tyler Shores creates a hilarious and pretty darn accurate parody of Taylor Swift’s latest hit song, with the lyrics changed to reflect life as a photographer. With T-Swift’s poppy tune in the background, some strong vocals sung by 16 year old Amanda Joy, and words that any professional photographer can relate to, I think we’ve got a hit on our hands, folks.
I mean, behold, one of the verses of the song:
Harsh shadows, rainy skies
I still shoot incredible things
Crying kids, really stiff guys
I’ve got candy in my bag
I will bribe if I want
C’mon kid, smile just once
But the worst is yet to come
Drunken groomsmen, wedding day
Dude where are your freaking pants
Timeline gone, we’re so behind
This is like herding cats
Uncle Bob – No I can’t chat,
flashes off for the ceremony
Wait, what do I see?
iPads and cameras in my LCD
But really, you must listen to the song to get the full effect. Though, I cannot promise that the incredibly catchy hooks won’t be stuck on replay in your head all day.
