Friday Funnies: Celebrities Photoshopped as Bobbleheads

By Anthony Thurston on October 4th 2013

The weekend is upon us, its friday. That means its time for some Friday Funnies! This week we have a good one for you, Celebrities Photoshopped as Bobbleheads. If I am honest I actually laughed out loud at a few of these.

Imgur user samuelorsaumell has been running this hilarious project where he photoshops the heads of celebrities to bobblehead-esq proportions. From leading ladies like Jennifer Lawrence to well known Actors like Michael C. Hall, no celebrity was left unscathed (ok, that is an exaggeration).

samuelorsaumell shared the secret to his well crafted photoshop trickery, “It’s actually pretty simple, most of these images are ~5 min jobs. The process is mostly just: 1) Copy the head onto a new layer. 2) Reduce background to 65% size (that’s the value I was using anyway) 3) Puppet warp the base of the neck/hair to get it to match with the shrunk background as much as possible. 4) Mask away (with a soft brush) the edges of the head layer to make it consistent with the shrunk background.”

I must say that Michael C. Hall and Anne Hathaway probably gave me the biggest grin of the bunch. But overall really good work here, just goes to show that your techniques do not need to be complicated to get good results.
