Francesco Romoli Shows Steps In Creating “Imaginary Towns” Series

Francesco Romoli is an Italian artist known for creating interesting and sometimes mysterious digital artworks. We’ve shown you his series “Imaginary Towns” here on SLR Lounge before but wanted to give you another look at some of the steps that Romoli takes to create these surreal images.

Take a look at the step-by-step process he takes with each of the images below. He typically uses a Canon 600d, a Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens and a Canon 430 EX ii flash in combination with Photoshop masks and blending modes to give the images that dreamlike feel.
