You will not find a better deal for a Canon system camera than the one I am about to share with you. Right now, over on Ebay you can get your hands on the wonderful EOS M, in any of the three color options available, in the kit with the 18-55mm lens for just $249.99.
I normally don’t feature Ebay deals, but this one is worth noting. The seller has 99.3% positive feedback, and over 700 of these Canon EOS M kits have been sold so far. Normally you can find the EOS-M body only for around $250, but the kits usually run for around $350. If I did not just grab another one myself, then I would be all over this deal.
[REWIND: The EOS M, Canon’s Loss Is Your Gain]
You can get your hands on this deal here, but as I said there have been 700 sold, so jump on this quickly as we don’t know how much longer the stock will last.

I have since stopped looking at the Canon EOS M. I took a look at Youtube, and found this camera not to be within my uses. I was looking for the “M” to become a light weight DSLR. It was noted on You tube that the EF and EF “L” lenses I planned to use would be slow, to very slow to focus when using the adapter. I didn’t plan on putting any money into the “M” lenses, with exception of a lens purchased on the camera originally. I may swing my thoughts on the Sony, with an adapter.
I guess the deal is gone. I looked today and the price is up to $599. To bad.
Not at all. New day, new deal:

I need to believe that Canon is going to support the future of this brand with more than just a highway to EF glass (by offering an adapter). Solid small lenses in the EF-M mount with USM focusing would be a great start.
I may have to take advantage of this. I bought one after reading your mini review, with the intention of using it as a back-up. I lent it to my daughter for her school trip to Europe. She likes it so much, she doesn’t want to give it back.
I enjoy using my canon EOS-M for video/photo. I bought an EOS-M to Canon FD lens adapter, I love putting on old fd lenses on the camera now. It’s real fun to put my canon fd 300 2.8L with some teleconverters. Also running magic lantern for timelapse reason and exposure simulation is a nice add on as well.
This might be too good to pass up. Anyone know how good the video quality is on these? Or should I just save the money to put towards a GH3?
Alben, I use my EOS-M almost exclusively for video. It is just as good as any of the Canon APS-C DSLRs as far as video quality.
WOW! they are still €500 inc VAT in Ireland for the kit + EX90
nice deal
Wow. Not my preferred cuppa by any means, but what a price! A fellow could learn to compromise his pickiness for a while.
Seriously, If I thought I could use three of them I would pounce on it, but alas, at that point it would be a bit crazy. haha
