I am outside the US. Can I enter?

  2. Federico Guendel

Is this for US only? Or I’d rather say, is there any non-US that wants to enter this thing other than me?

How do you know if you’re a pro or amateur?

    • Archie Campbell

Agreed. The prizes seem the same but the entry to the amateur category is cheaper so surely go for that one?

    • Photo Video West

Although the amateur category is less expensive, we would prefer you enter the category which is most appropriate. Thank you.

    • Photo Video West

If you receive payment for your photographs, then you are considered a professional. If you are new to photography or take photos as a hobby, you would be considered an amateur.

Would it be unfair if lets say a pro photog decides to enter the amateur category because he knows his work will give him an advantage?

    • Photo Video West

Yes, we would consider that unfair. This is a friendly competition and we are operating under the honor system.
