Dramatic Pictures of Dogs Pooping | Friday Foto Funnies

By Jules Ebe on November 15th 2013

Landscape photographer Brock Daves has come up with probability one of the funniest and most absurd series of photos we have come across recently. It literally makes you stop and say , “What the …?”.

In 2012 Daves left the frantic business of New York City to seek fresh air, ancient forests, and vast deserts. In essence, to make images from some of the most stunning and awe inspiring natural wonders Mother Nature has to offer us mere mortals. But somewhere along the way he became a little distracted. Known for his nature photography, Daves has come up a new way of qualifying “au natural” photography – by creating a series dedicated to dramatic images of dogs pooping. Yep, you heard me correctly, dogs doing the number two.

Talk about shooting the sh…. (Sorry, couldn’t help it, but you get my drift.)

With internet inundated with beautiful sunrises, airbrushed superstars, and cute kittens, Daves finds that moment people are not really looking to throw on their wall or place in next years picture album.

I don’t know about you, but nature photography will never be the same for me. I’m still not sure if it is funny or revolting, but the old fashioned portrait blend, a la Olan Mills, is classic. Or you can always file the link under the heading, as a friend of mine has, “what happens when a photographer has too much free time.”

So what do you think: funny, low-brow, or both?

Until Next Time . . .

As expected high resolution film quality consists of much memory, that’s why it gives you better quality.

The Photos are not even good. Where is the dramatic?

For me it was the double portraits (like old Olan Mills senior portraits) and the almost lifestyle-trend color processing. I mean, what inspires someone to make an actual photo series like this?

I knew this magazine was going down the toilet :-)

Nice Denis :-) So I take it that you are in the “low-brow” group. I’m still in the “WTF” group.
