DJI Phantom II w/ Gimbal only $500!!! | Deal Dash

By Anthony Thurston on September 12th 2015

This is a been a big week, with the Zeiss Milvus and Sony A7S II being announced. While you save your pennies for those new items, here are some deals for you to check out; and we have quite a doozy for you at the end of the post.

Pentax K-3 II

If you are ok with an APS-C sensor, it is hard to argue a better camera option than the Pentax K-3 II. The Pentax brand may have fallen out of the public spotlight in recent years, but their offerings are still worth consideration.

K-3 II Highlights

  • 24.35 MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
  • PRIME III Image Processor
  • Anti-Aliasing Filter Simulator
  • 3.2″ 1.03m-Dot LCD Monitor
  • Full HD 1080p Video Recording at 30 fps
  • SAFOX11 27-Point AF, 25 Cross Sensors
  • ISO 100-51200, 8.3 fps Shooting
  • 86k-Pixel RGB Exposure Metering
  • Built-In GPS, Compass, and AstroTracer
  • Shake Reduction & Pixel Shift Resolution

This K-3 II, for example, features a 24MP sensor, and a slew of unique features like Astrotracking built right into the camera. Photographers who demand a high build quality, weather sealing, and ruggedness, should consider this camera when making their purchase decision. Currently, there is a nice $100 savings, so jump on it now.

Benro A-0690 Travel Tripod

Big, Bulky tripods have their place. But for many photographers, especially the traveling variety, a big and bulky tripod is more of a pain than is ideal. Thus, tripod makers developed the idea of travel tripods, which are both small and light, while at the same time, provide a solid support for your gear.

This Benro A-0690 is a great option, and at $154, it is worth considering. It’s currently $75 off (50% off) and now this tripod becomes a no-brainer for those looking to grab one for travel. If interested, you can find the tripod on sale over on B&H here.

DJI Phantom II w/ H4-3D Gimbal

DJI’s latest X5 camera’s for their Inspire quadcopters are the talk of the town, but not everyone has that kind of budget. If you are more like me, and would love to play with a quadcopter, but don’t have a large budget, this one day only deal is just for you.

DJI Phantom II Highlights

  • Stabilized Shooting with GoPro HERO
  • Compatible with HERO4
  • 6-channel, 2.4 GHz Radio Transmitter
  • Up to 3,280′ Line-of-Sight Radio Range
  • Naza-M V2 Flight Control System
  • GPS-Based Autopilot with Return to Home
  • Intelligent Orientation Control (IOC)
  • Supports Dual Flight Control Modes
  • Smart Battery Lasts up to 25 Minutes
  • LED Indicators & Low Voltage Protection

Over on B&H, you can get your hands on DJI’s Phantom II with the H4-3D Gimbal for just $499. That is a killer $200 savings on a very capable ‘drone’. I am going to grab one to just play around with, and this way when I crash it, I’m only out $499.

This deal is available today only, so if you are interested jump on over to B&H and grab it now!

I want this so bad, but will hold off. I want the POV version which is still super expensive.

This DJI was $499US and for another couple hundred more you can make it FPV yourself. That’s what I am doing. All you need is the FPV hub, 5.8ghz transmitter, and receiver/monitor. You can buy premade kits on eBay for a couple hundred dollars or DIY for cheaper.

Well, I have been pushing it off for long enough and finally dropped the money on a drone. I had been eyeing the 3dr Solo but the gimbal alone is about $100 less than I paid for this whole unit. For my needs this will do and the price cannot be beat.
