DIY Snow For Your Holiday Photo Fun

By Anthony Thurston on December 15th 2013

Everyone dreams of a snowy white holiday season, the reality is though that many of us do not live in areas where snow happens often – if ever. So what can you do to bring a little white Christmas to your holiday photo fun if you live in an area where snow is no existent? Simple, make your own snow!

If you happen to have a lot of money then go out and buy a snow maker, yes they make those, but if you are like me and don’t have that kind of money here are a few DIY options that you should look into.

In the video above one of the options it talks about is using the insides of a diaper to make a snow like material. That is exactly what Johnathan Thorpe did this last weekend with a few friends.

It is not perfect, if you don’t throw it right it doesn’t look quite right, but in many cases it turns out looking great! Check out this behind the scenes video below where you can see how the above image came together and glimpses of the crew making the DIY snow.

What do you think of these DIY snow techniques? Can they replace the real thing or do you find it best to use real snow when possible? Share your thoughts in a comment below.
