Deutsche Börse Photography Prize

By Ruth Dunn on May 9th 2013

Since 1996, the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize has aimed to reward a contemporary photographer who has made the most significant contribution to photography in Europe each year.

The prize showcases new talents, highlights and promotes the best of contemporary photography internationally and since 2005 has rewarded the winner of the annual prize £30,000.

This year the four shortlisted artists for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2013 are duo Adam Broomberg & Oliver Chanarin, Mishka Henner, Chris Killip and Cristina De Middel.

The UK Guardian recently released a video including discussions with the shortlisted artists and a look at their contribution to contemporary photography.

Work by the shortlisted photographers is currently on show at The Photographers’ Gallery in London until June 30.
