Big Telephoto Savings and More Memory Madness {Deal Dash}

By Anthony Thurston on January 26th 2016

Welcome to our Deal Dash segment, where we scour the web for the best deals on camera, lenses, lighting, and other gear for photographers. There are always great deals to be found over on B&H and Amazon, so make sure to check out those two websites. Today, we wanted to highlight three deals below:

Olympus 40-150mm F/2.8 – Save $200

Olympus has really been stepping up their game, and one of the ways they have been doing that is by releasing some killer lenses for the micro four thirds system. One such lens is their 40-150mm F/2.8, a killer lens for anyone shooting M 4/3.

You can get your hands on one today for a cool $200 savings too, thanks to our friends over at B&H. Seriously, if you shoot micro four thirds, this is the 70-200 equivalent that you should be looking at.

If you want to jump on this today, you can head on over to B&H here to take advantage.

64 GB Sony SD Cards – 95MB/s – Save $16

It is ALWAYS a good idea to have more memory. If you did not get a chance to jump on the Amazon SD card deal that we shared yesterday, then today you have an opportunity to check out some faster and higher capacity Sony SD cards with some great savings.

B&H currently has 64GB variants of Sony’s High-Speed SD memory cards (95MB/s) on sale for just $22.99, a cool $16.40 in savings over the usual sticker price. I highly recommend considering these if you need some new cards or need a few more backups.

If you are interested, you can grab them over on B&H, here. The deal should last until January 31st.

Sigma 150-600mm F/5-6.3 – Save $200

If you are looking for a high-quality telephoto zoom that is about as close to ‘all-in-one’ as you need for daytime shooting, there is no better option on the market right now than Sigma’s 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Sports lens.

Offering weather sealing, an incredible zoom range, and best in class image quality, this is the lens you need if you are shooting subjects from long distances and need some zoom flexibility. Normally a $2,000 lens, B&H currently has these on sale for just $1799, a cool $200 in savings.

Interested? Grab one while the deal lasts over on B&H here.

    Its nice to see Olympus putting out some good stuff and getting respect. Back in the day, like Pentax, they were up there with canon and nikon but lost the plot a bit when automation really kicked in with fancy AF, exposure modes, etc. My climbing partner had Olympus OM kit with primes and his results were excellent with it.
