Darth Vader Posts ‘Selfie’ on Stars Wars’ Official Instagram Account

By Hanssie on December 3rd 2013

Now that Star Wars has an official Instagram account, someone should tell Darth Vader about the front facing camera option.

Today the official Star Wars Instagram account was launched in anticipation for “Star Wars Episode VII,” coming in December 2015. Disney is wasting no time in the marketing for what is already a highly anticipated event. It’s first photo? The infamous evil Sith Lord taking a selfie, of course. (Well, technically, someone taking a photo of Darth who is taking a selfie…but you get the idea).

Captioned, “Another day at the office” #StarWars #DarthVader #selfies #gpom, you can also see a dead stormtrooper or two photobombing the shot.

With only three posts on the account at the time of writing, it seems like fans can look forward to behind the scenes photos, #latergrams from the previous Star Wars’ movies, and possible sneak peeks of the upcoming movie.  The account has almost 60,000 followers already. If you’re a Star Wars fan and you already have December 18, 2015 circled on your calendar, then you might want to follow them on Instagram as well.
