    Overall exposure is correct. Perhaps do some dodging to lighten the central area of tower. That tower has too much shadow and could be emphasizes more with some brightness in center. I see the highlight on left though which is good.

    Hi Traci,

    I love the overall shot, exposure is great, I would just massage the shadows a bit more, they could stand to be a touch darker, maybe using a gentle curves instead of anything more heavy-handed. 

    Also, as a general rule, when I’m shooting a vertical landscape photo, I often ask myself if a 4:5 crop instead of a 2:3 would work better. In this scene the vertical line of the one turret / tower does help the 2:3 work here, however at the right edge and left edge I’m left wondering what else might have been visible in this scene.

    In other words, if I could have I would have tried zooming out just a tiny bit, to get some more on the left and right, …and then cropping off the top and bottom to make the image a 4:5 ratio.
