Very nicely done, the light source looks like a street lamp overhead, I like it! My main critique would be that the lighting is so perfect, with no spill whatsoever around them, that it looks like they’re just photoshopped in almost. It also doesn’t help that the rest of the image is processed to be so dark and moody, yet they are perfectly lit and exposed.

This “is that a studio backdrop?” conundrum is common when you create an image that is “too perfect”, and that is why I often try to do small things here and there to help connect the subject to the environment, even if it means letting a little extra light spill onto the surrounding area.

It’s also a bit weird to not see her feet / legs right below her center of gravity; it’s as if she is floating almost. Obviously she is leaning on him, but because his pose is so casual, (hand in the pocket, legs slightly crossed?) …it doesn’t seem to work as well to have her legs be invisible behind his. So I might have rather seen a more engaged, dynamic pose from both of them.

Both of your points make sense, thanks for the input.
