    Great color and bokeh in this photograph. I also like the texture of the bark.

    Jonas, you comment “it’s pretty hard to get a real interesting image with the nature.” Don’t look for the grand composition, look for the little things of interest. When we first start taking photographs, many of us want to take the Ansel Adams type shot. That is not necessary. You could even get down to ground level and take photographs of the vegetation with the background beyond the plane of focus. Let the environment inspire you! My suggestion for this photograph in particular would be to take a step or two back from the stump. It so dominates the picture that we can’t really tell what environment we are in.
