    Hi Rob,

    I think you’ve assessed the situation, in hindsight, very well. Dropping the shutter speed down to 1/200, and your ISO to 100, would have allowed you to use a lower flash power, and yet get roughly the same image but with lower noise.

    However, the clean ISO wouldn’t have been conducive to the gritty look you wanted, so… mission accomplished! I think you did exactly the right thing, indeed.

      Thanks for the feedback Mathew. Tough learning without a model constantly to hand and only having them for such a short length of time, I guess the pressure is what makes us learn faster!
