(show more)This was my first engagement shoot, and this was the last leg of walking around a huge park and I've always thought these back lit shots look amazing. It was already dark, so I had my fiancé stand behind the couple with a flash pointed at his chest (her shoulder height). Although we didn't have rain, spray bottles, or fog to add to the shot; I still liked how this one came out. (show less)
Hey David, I just commented on another photo you were gracious enough to comment on. I’ve only been doing this for a little more than 4 months, so I’m not sure, but I’m definitely going to look into it! Or pay more attention to Pye in the videos….
Ha Ha! Nothing working with what you have done here, I guess its just worth knowing (if you didn’t already!) that narrow aperture create ‘sun stars’……..But in this case, you would then have needed a tripod, and told the clients to hold really still for you would obviously have needed a slow shutter speed…..perhaps making the shot too impossible? Dave

If you shot with a ‘narrow’ aperture, could you have created a ‘sun star’ for more creative effect? Dave
