Martin, I love the feel of this image. My critique here would be in regard to the  crop of this shot at her hand. When you crop a hand it draws the interest out of the frame and leaves the eye wanting to make sense of what it is doing or holding… ect. Although I love the lighting I dont feel it matches the style and feel of the image. This would have been a great opportunity to have lit with a more dramatic effect helping to make a complete story in this shot. Very beautiful image all in all :)

I agree with the crop – i think the lighting works for me, i guess that’s our difference as artists :)

    Thank you

Indeed this is one of the things I notice first about the image; the cropped hand. It might work just fine if the crop had been just a touch higher to not show the skin of her hand at all, though.

While I like the paramount lighting style and the overall quality of the light, I think that I would have liked to see the key light just a little bit off-center instead of centered; it would have indeed suited the edgey prop and stylizing of the shoot I think. Sliding the key light just a bit in this direction (our left) would have been great. Not rembrandt lighting, but not perfect paramount lighting either.

I think the crop works just fine :-)
The expression is great, the lighting is also quite alright, could use a bit more light on the background, as I can see some of it, but its black in the top. (Notice the dark hair, blending with the background, lacking separation there)
The skin looks a bit overprocessed to me, and less is more.
