    Seeing this shot makes me think that maybe you were actually at this location, shooting subjects in front of that background, however even if this is the case I would still suggest trying to mimic the lighting of the sun itself, whenever possible. This image the lighting looks a lot more natural and realistic than the other image taken closer to sunset.

    However, I don’t think the pose is worth pursuing, I would change it entirely. Because of the angle, the subject’s feet appear bigger than their face. Find a pose that moves their feet away from the edge of the frame, and brings the subject’s face more into prominence.

    I DID VERY LITTLE WORK ON THE IMAGE, I USED TO LIGHTING WHILE THE SUN WAS ALREADY BEHIND THE MOUNTAINS IN THE WEST, THE SKY WAS BEAUTIFUL. AS FOR THE POSE, YES YOU ARE RIGHT, THE CLOSEST PART TO THE LENS WILL APPEAR BIGGER.
