    Hey Kevin,

This is a solid silhouette shot, however, the majority of the frame is encompassed by the ground. It’s not necessarily a bad thing except that we can’t see any detail in the ground – the shadows appear too black or clipped. Which again, happens when you are shooting a silhouetted shot however it seems odd to have it take up such a large portion of the frame.

I would have underexposed a bit more to retain the highlights in the sky and then recomposed the image to include less ground or crop to a 16×9

I like the placement between the trees. Really like the yellow too.

The pose almost creates a heart with their heads and chest which may be exactly what you were going for. Otherwise, though, They both seem to be arching their backs and doing almost a “belly bump” look. In my opinion, it might have been ideal to have straighter spines and to even see a small sliver between them to see more of their body’s form. He also only has one leg. Silhouettes are tricky that way for me.

I have that lens and though its pretty sharp through the stop range I wonder if you would have been better off using a smaller aperture i.e. f8 etc which is closer to the sweet spot? Everything would have then been in focus too….just a thought. I want to see more detail in those clouds…..Dave
