Hi Crystal! Gorgeous job on the overall tones and the blending of the look of the exposure. I think the obvious issue here is of course that the picture of the dog has a very clear fall-off of the background blur, and yet the sky is pretty sharp. This makes the composite an obvious one.

When shooting a composite scene like this, it helps to think ahead and shoot the scene with different apertures so that you have options later, maybe for example if this image was shot at f/2.8, I’d stop down to try and get the background almost perfectly in focus. However in this scene, since it says you shot at f/11, I guess the only option is to blur the clouds in the background until they match the level of blur that the main image has. Other than that, I do see a couple of faint edges where there’s a bit of light halo-ing, which can be eliminated with just a bit more work to the layer masking etc.

Thank you Matt! I actually did take several  shots at a lot if different settings I just loved the look of the sky the most in this one. Never doing a composite before i just picked my two favorite.  So i will definitely try a couple others and also what you suggested with the mask and blur appreciate your time! Thank you.
