The Craftsmanship of Fujinon: A Look At How Fuji Does Lenses

By Anthony Thurston on October 10th 2014

Regardless of your camera system, it is widely accepted that Fujifilm’s Fujinon lenses are some of the best around. Everything from the build quality and switches on the lenses to the image quality that can be produced using them.

fujinonFujifilm just released an interesting look into the process they use in making their lenses, from the glass elements that they inspect by hand, to the barrel assembly, to the technicians and engineers testing the lenses once they are complete.

I, personally, always love these sort of videos from camera/lens manufacturers. Even though they all seem to follow roughly the same script, it’s still really cool to see what goes into these hunks of glass that we depend on for our livelihood.

Great video, I’m also fascinated by ‘behind the scenes’ videos, great to see the amount of skill and effort that goes into the manufacture of lens.
