Capture One Launches #CaptureDedication Instagram Contest

Who doesn’t love a good contest? Capture One has recently launched a campaign to showcase the dedication photographers feel for their craft, and as part of this campaign, they’ve just launched an Instagram contest for all you dedicated photographers. Entry is simple: upload an image to Instagram, explain why it’s special to you, use the hashtag #CaptureDedication, and follow @captureonepro on Instagram.

One big winner will receive a 6-day all-expenses-paid trip/workshop with photographer Paul Reiffer to either California or Shanghai and a Capture One Pro license. The lucky winner will also get to use a Phase One XF for the duration of the trip.

In the past 10-15 years of shooting I have shot just two photographs that I could say were “landmarks” in my library. I recently printed this one on a huge canvas, Manta Rays swimming at Hanifaru Bay in the Maldives (August 2013).A result of 1-2 years learning scuba & free diving, some marine biology, the physics of shooting underwater and to get fit enough to keep up with sea creatures such as these. In addition to the first place prize, two more prizes fit for photo editing will be awarded. To the second prize winner will go a Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16, i7 512GB and a Capture One Pro license, and the third will receive a medium-sized Wacom Intuos Pro and Capture One Pro license.

Entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM Central European Summer Time on April 23rd and winners will be notified the day after. For the best chances to win submit images that are “high quality, with an inspiring story, and relevant to the competition theme.” 

Win or lose, your images will be displayed on Capture One’s contest page. Chances are if you’re reading this blog you’re dedicated to photography. May as well win something for it!
