Canon 70D to Be Announced July 2nd, Specs Leaked | Rumor Mill

The latest buzz is that the latest Canon DSLR to be announce will be the highly anticipated update to the 60D, the Canon 70D. Reliable sources have confirmed this to popular rumor site Canon Rumors. The official announcement for the new body is expected to happen on July 2nd 2013.

Initially when this rumor was circulated there were no specs leaked, but that has since changed and the specs that have been leaked look to be pretty decent. Highlighting the list of features is a brand new 20.2mp sensor (finally!), 19pt AF System, and 7fps.

The leak of specs comes from the image below. Seems to be pretty legit. If this is all true it looks to be a pretty good upgrade over the 60D in almost every way, it should make great competition for the Nikon D7100.

    If the price tag doesn’t differ much from the 60D (wich I trully hope so), this can be the way to go for those who want something better than a 550/600 but can’t afford a 5D.
    This release will also drop (hopefully) the price on the 60D, so it’s another good thing for entry-level photographers (or, like me, hobbyists on a budget).

      I am sure the price will not differ much from 60D, but not from current price of 60D but I think its launch price.

      I think the price will be between 7D to current 60D price so maybe around USD 1400 – USD 1200
