Build a DIY Slide Light

By Jules Ebe on September 1st 2013

Finally, something to do with those Instagram slide programs from a couple months back. For a film junkie like myself, this is a pretty cool little side project to put into my studio space or use as a creative display of my old (or new) color slides. Eat your heart out IKEA.

Inspired by the original Slide Light, Photojojo has come up with a pretty cool DIY version for your own creative space.

Think of this project as a way to create a mini gallery, with which to show off and rotate tiny versions of your photography.

Don’t have any color picture slides? No problem, you can always make Instagram slides using transparencies. Print on vellum paper (available at your local creating store) for bright colors and a milky finish.

The build is not overly complex and should be able to be completed within a few hours. All the measurements and standard size cuts. From my experience, a local hardware store would be able to help you cut down your wood if you do not have access to the tools.

Visit Photojojo for the full build, step-by-step.

Until Next Time . . .
