Even professional photographers can have trouble finding time to work on personal projects. Shooting weddings, headshots, portraits, etc are all what we are paid to do, not necessarily what we want to do. One of the keys to making time for your personal work is good time management and pre-planning.
Our friend, Brooke Shaden, recently released a great new video on how she is able to manage her time amidst a hectic travel and workshop/teaching schedule. The key to her success according to her: time management and pre-planning. Check it out below:
One of the tricks that Brooke talks about in the video is doing the shooting for multiple images at the same time. This is especially hard for her, since she only shoots in golden hour – giving her just 30 minutes or so to get her shots and be done.

The final results are impressive, given the time constraints and the fact that she was doing two compositions at the same time.
What are you thoughts on this? What do you do to keep your time managed? Any tricks to finding time to work on personal projects?
