Bluetooth Receiver by Satechi 600x400

Attention gearheads, techies, camera snobs alike…..the use of Bluetooth technology is finally here for your SLR cameras.

Satechi has devised a new app and gadget that will allow you to remotely control most Canon DSLR’s, some Canon compacts, and most high-end Nikon DSLR’s, from your iPhone.

The Satechi Bluetooth Smart Trigger is a $45 Bluetooth receiver for Canon or Nikon and FREE smartphone app. The receiver fits into the hotshoe of your camera and you instantly gain the ability to control the camera from your iPhone.

Once your Bluetooth devices are successfully paired, the app has 3 different modes of triggering your camera. It has the regular shot wireless mode, the manual mode will control your exposure time when used with the bulb feature on your camera, and it can be used as a timed shot functions as an intervalometer.

Satechi Smart Trigger app is currently an app only for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5, iPod Touch (3rd/4th/5th Generation), and iPad with iOS 6.0 or later. For you Android users, the app release date is late March 2013.
