Guy Cohen is a 24 yr old photography student from Jerusalem, Israel. He has traveled all over Israel and other parts of the world, as he has perfected his craft over the last 8 years. The resulting black and white imagery is some of the most interesting and deep that I have personally seen recently.
“I love to travel around the world and take pictures of the places, the people and the culture I meet on the way.” Cohen said, in an email to SLR Lounge “These days I am working on a big project about the church of the holy sepulcher, the light and the spiritual experience of the people who come over there.”
Cohen currently uses a Nikon D7000 as his tool for capturing these amazing images. His lens choice depends on the subject, but currently, he mostly works with the Nikon 50mm f/1.8, Nikon 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 and Sigma 10-20 f/4.5-5.6.
If you are interested in taking a look at more of Cohen’s work (not all of which is black and white), you can check him out on his Facebook, 1x, or 500px pages. He also sells prints of his work on request.
