The Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera is one of the biggest camera releases of this year, simply for what you are getting in that size for that money nothing even comes close to being such a great value… on paper that is. So how does the new BMPCC stack up in real life, and how about against known commodities like the Canon 5D Mark III and Red Epic?
Dave Dugdale just completed his in depth review and look at the BMPCC in what is probably one of the better reviews of that camera that I have seen to this point. But more importantly he comes at this thing like many of us would, from our experiences with DSLRs. That is what I think makes this review so great, it really gives us a good look at how the Pocket Cinema Camera is different when compared to shooting with the comfort of our DSLR. Anyways enough of my blabbing, take a look at the review below!
I have not had the pleasure of trying this camera out yet myself, but after watching this review I think that although it is obviously much more work that my Canon 7D will be to create video the quality difference is really amazing. I am excited to get my hands on one of these in the future.
