Behind the Scenes of Art Streiber’s Star Wars cover shoot for Wired

By Anthony Thurston on June 15th 2013

A while back we told you about Art Streiber’s cover shoot for Wired magazine, today we are here to share with you some behind the scenes action that was recently released.

The guys behind the official Profoto blog recently reached out to Art Streiber to get some details on the behind the scenes of this shoot. You can read the full post over on their blog, but I have included some of the information as well as some images below.

For this shoot Art used a combination of the following equipment:

  • 12 Pro-8a Packs
  • 5 ProTwin Heads
  • 8 Pro-Heads
  • 12 Head extension cables
  • 1 Zoomspot
  • 4 Grid Holders and Grid Sets
  • 4 Speedrings
  • 1 Softlight Silver Reflector
  • 1 Softlight White Reflector
  • 2 Magnum Reflectors

According to Art that is a pretty medium sized order of equipment for him and his team. He mentions that he likes to have plenty of variety in the lighting so that he can really play around and get the results that he wants.

You can check this neat video behind the scenes of the shoot, as well as some images from the shoot below.
