Awesome Aerial Footage of Niagara Falls Shot with DJI Phantom & GoPro Hero 3

By Anthony Thurston on July 16th 2013

Aerial drones are becoming cheaper and cheaper, so naturally more people are getting opportunities to capture video with these awesome machines. Youtube user questpact recently paired his GoPro Hero 3 with his DJI Phantom quadcopter to take this amazing footage of Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls is one of my favorite places to visit on this earth. I lived within driving distance of the falls when I was younger and my family made many trips there while I was a kid. The falls are a truly awe inspiring sight to behold in person, and these aerial shots do an awesome job of showcasing the falls.

I have not had the opportunity to use one of these quadcopters myself yet, but I have heard nothing but good things about them. If you need to get aerial shots, and don’t have the budget to hire a helicopter or plane then one of these may be your best bet. They do take some practice to fly, but once you get the hang of it then you can get some awesome video footage as you can see above.

What are your thoughts on using these quadcopters for aerial footage? Let us know in a comment below!
