Artist Creates Pencil Drawings You Won’t Believe Aren’t Photographs

At first glance you’d think you were looking at a nice photo of hands cupping water. The realistic ripples, the texture of the bubbles, and the reflection of the sun glistening off the water, all seem like a basic run of the mill image created by a camera, maybe touched up a bit in Photoshop.

Until you take a closer look and realize that these images created by Madrid-based artist, Adolfo Fernandez Rodriguez are actually colored pencil drawings. Take a look at the amazing details in his pictures, from the hair on his subjects’ arms to the incredible meticulousness of the statues he recreates.
