Animated GIFs Create Spooky Advertising Campaigns

Animated GIFs have gained popularity with the explosion of internet memes and other viral images. To our pleasure or dismay (sometimes to both), we’ve all had friends send us a link to a funny shuffling zebra or something else ridiculous and mostly pointless.

But most of the ones we’re used to fall into the random, low-budget, comedic categories. So it’s cool (and chillingly effective) to see it applied to bigger budget marketing campaigns. In the new advertising campaign for the horror movie “Stoker,” they take creepy animated GIFs to a new level.
