I have huge amounts of respect for anyone who takes on and finishes a stop motion video project. The amount of time and planning involved is just crazy and its is so easy to mess up and completely ruin the video. So lets just say that I am super impressed with this awesome Lego stop motion recreation of the Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug trailer.
The amount of time that it must have taken to recreate each frame must have been ridiculous. I mean it is hard enough coming up with your own movements in a stop motion, let alone recreating someone else’s movements. In case you are wondering just how close the frames are, here is a direct side by side video showing you. It’s really quite amazing.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you as impressed by this as I am? Let us know in a comment below.

I have made a few LEGO stop motion videos. It can get a little tedious with all the pictures. It is also hard when you accidentally bump lego pieces when you are moving other pieces around. I use VideoSpiritPro as the software I use to blend the pics and sound effects. I think sound effects add so much!
Mine are no where near this good, but if I keep at it, maybe someday!

WOW THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!
This is amazing! I challenge them to re create the whole movie when it comes out. I’d actually pay to see that.
