Amazing Perseid Meteor Shower time-lapse Captures Meteor Explosion

Its been a little over a week since the Perseid Meteor shower, which means that images and video of the event have started to make their way around the web. One of the neater videos to surface this year is a timelapse done by Michael Chung.

In the timelapse video Michael manages to capture one of the meteors exploding as it enters the earths atmosphere. It is a short burst in the video, but you can clearly see the explosion and the resulting debris being thrown from the explosion. This is one of the coolest things I have seen as far as nighttime timelapse videos go in a while.  Check it out yourself below.
