Aerial Wedding Photography: Photographer’s Images Capture a Unique Perspective

By Hanssie on May 25th 2016

Setting yourself apart as a wedding photographer is not an easy task. After all, everything under the sun has been done it seems, but one photographer has managed to give a unique take on wedding photography by taking her images to new heights. Literally.

In the lush landscapes of French Polynesia, Helene Havard has offered a different perspective from the traditional wedding photos by using a drone to capture her some of her images. Though the popularity of videographers using a drone at weddings has been gaining momentum in the last few years, aerial wedding photography has not been done quite this way with such focus.

High above, a DJI Phantom 3 flies over a couple as Helene poses them floating on the turquoise water, or laying on the sand on what looks to be a deserted beach, lost in their own little universe, together but alone. Aerial Wedding Photography  provides couples with this unique perspective and incredible photos that document the beauty that surrounds them.

Teaming up with Flying World Pictures, a videographer, the Tahiti-based pair photographs couples surrounded by the vast beauty of some of the world’s most romantic wedding destinations from the vantage point of a bird. Admittedly, Helene has always needed a lot of freedom, she tells Feature Shoot, and drone photography helps her express that, giving her endless access to the wide open skies above.
