New York’s International Center of Photography (ICP) is currently holding their fourth triennial, titled “A Different Kind of Order”. The triennial is known for bringing together some of the most interesting contemporary photography and video works from around the world.
Featuring 28 video artists and photographers from 14 countries, “A Different Kind of Order” focuses on the far-reaching influence of digital photography on established and emerging artists working within our current moment of widespread economic, social, and political instability.
ICP executive director Mark Robbins said:
“It throws us into the wonderful tense ambiguity that I think all good art does, where we question the assumptions about ourselves and our world.”
ICP interviewed artist A.K. Burns about her practice and work included in “A Different Kind of Order”.
“A Different Kind of Order” is on show at the ICP from May 17–September 8, 2013. To see a full list of artists included in the exhibition go the ICP website.
