17 Photos that make you look twice

By Anthony Thurston on March 20th 2013

There are certain times where you capture a shot at the perfect moment, sometimes it’s staged, but regardless the final result has anyone who views it looking twice. This was the point behind a great collection of photos I came across on the other day.

I think a few of the shots are very well done, even if they are staged the optical illusion is spot on. For example, this picture of the a girl practicing what looks to be ballet moves with a tulip in the foreground creating the illusion that it is her skirt.

I don’t know about you but I love to come across neat stuff like this. I think that if more photographers worried less about the technical superiority of their shots and spent as much time on being creative with them that the world would be a much better place for it. I mean sure, your Nikon D800 may be nice but it will be for nothing if your shots lack creativity (in my opinion).

I’ve included a few of my favorites from the collection below, head over to the original post to see the rest. Maybe, like me, you will be inspired by some of the creativity of these shots – even if they are simple, cheesy, and staged.
