10 Plus Sized Models who are taking the Fashion Industry by Storm

By Anthony Thurston on June 12th 2013

You always hear about the latest “it” girls of fashion being these stick thin dangley women who quite frankly look borderline inhuman. In a recent article over on Huffington Post they did a great article highlighting plus sized models who are currently doing well for themselves in this industry that is dominated by stick thin size 0 models. The article is accompanied by a video with a bit of background as well as brief details talking about each model and how they are making their mark on the industry.

I took a moment to grab some images of the models that they highlighted and you can see them below. I just think it’s great that plus sized models are getting more recognition. Normal people like plus sized models because plus sized models are actually the ideal size that people (women) would like to be, not some unattainable stick thin figure.

These ladies are blazing trails proving that you can be plus sized and still be an attractive and “in demand” model. Personally most of the ladies on this list are way more attractive and just plain healthier looking to me than your average every day “industry standard” model. So that’s my opinion, check out the images of the ladies below and let us know what you think with a comment below.

Well I would have to say I find it strange that so many of the ”plus size” models look the same as I did when I was size 5, 125 lbs and people told me I was too skinny. I have lost weight accidentally since and am trying to gain it back. Most of these women are not ”plus size”: they are healthy and what should be standard size.
