Ste Ho’s Amazing Car Photography & How to Build a Car Rig
There are definitely many specialties when it comes to photography. As a car fanatic or as Top Gear calls it, a petrol-head, I’ve always love the cool photos that grace the pages of Top Gear, EVO, Automobile, etc. Yes, there are those 5-figure transparent car rig used for high-end photoshoot’s like Lee Howell’s Audi R8 shoot, but to be successful in the genre, you don’t need to go to that extreme.
Take for example, Ste Ho, the Toronto, Canada-based automobile photographer who started doing photos of car as a hobby back in 2008 and has since made a professional career out of it, shooting everything from the Audi R8 to the Nissan GT-R and yes, the only street-legal Ariel Atom in Canada for an Autoblog article.
In his blog post, Ste Ho explains several techniques that he uses, including a video on how to set up and shoot with a rig shot.
Be sure to read the rest of his article on his blog. It’s a good read and it’s always great to see someone break into and have success in the professional realm of photography in a relatively short amount of time.
You can see the rest of his portfolio on his website, Shutterlit.com.
Stay creative!
