Sony XQD to Surpass Compact Flash (CF) Cards!
Sony’s XQD Cards were unveiled earlier this year in January, and have so far only been available for use in the new Nikon D4.
Where the speed of these cards are very impressive, it was previously announced that SanDisk and Lexar would not be making these cards, therefore leaving Sony as the only mass producer of the card.
With not much else out there really using these cards either, how much longer will this card survive?
Sony hasn’t had a great track record with stuff like this, MiniDisk, Memory Stick Pro etc… However they have just released their latest XQD Card which is rated at 168Mb/s, which surpasses any speed that Compact Flash offer.
Could this new XQD card be the ‘new thing’ in Photography?
