If you thought RED was going to sit back while Canon attempts to grab market share, think again. RED just announced a new upgrade for the EPIC or Scarlet cameras to turn them into 6K resolution monsters allowing them to shoot at 85fps in 6K mode, or 120fps in 5K mode! Oh yeah, you also have 15 stops of dynamic range!

It will end up costing EPIC users around $6,000 for the upgrade, but if you have a Scarlet, looks like you will be waiting until 2013 for price and availability.
