Pentax K-30 Video Review on CameraStoreTV
Pentax has always been this quirky, sometimes a bit left field, camera maker. Yet, I like them. It’s like wanting a Lotus sports car instead of a Porsche, I guess. They are not for everyone, but both Pentax and Lotus do have a cult-like following.
And yes, I lust for the Pentax 645D.
But today, we have a video review by Canada’s own The Camera Store TV for the new Pentax K-30 APS-C dSLR camera.

Here a couple of notable highlights and lowlights. The K-30, just like many of Pentax’s dSLRs, is rugged and weatherproof. It can withstand being tossed around in that little boat of his. Also, its Live View AF is one of the fastest out there for traditional dSLRs. It’s almost as quick as Sony’s SLT cameras.
Some of the lowlights mentioned include the curious design (I like it) and multiple rubber material and patterns. It is kinda funny and maybe a callback to the 80′s or the 90′s for Pentax. Better than the K-01, at least. The high ISO sharpness and noise pattern are a bit better than Canon APS-Cs, but not as good as the Nikon D7000.
Movie mode and features are pretty typical at this price range, as well.

Readers, do you own a Pentax dSLR/mirrorless? How do you like them?
