High Speed Car Shots (Without The Speed)
In a recent article by F-Stoppers they bring our attention to Los Angeles based photographer Scott Dukes who shows us stunning high octane automotive photography without actually going faster than a casual sunset stroll.
Rigs like that shown in the tutorial, are commonly used for car shots where you want to use a very slow shutter speed to make the background look like it’s soaring by at break neck speeds. What I also dig about this shot is that Scott incorporates strobes into his setup and composites the final shot of the car from strobed non-moving shot.
