Heads & Tails : A Playful Work by Tim MacPherson

In portraiture, there is a constant give and take between photographer and subject. The best portrait artists find a way of infusing personality onto a flat surface. They create depth and curiosity in a single frame. By playing with unorthodox juxtapositions, photographer Tim MacPherson and art director Gem Fletcher explore the everyday person in the most unusual way.

The work is colorful and playful, bordering tongue-in-cheek. The mismatched portraits force a double take, which in turn allow us to question the perceptions we place on the mundane.
