Photography inspiration comes to us in so many forms. We love drawing from Hollywood films, editorial photography, fashion magazines, etc to help inspire and keep us creative.

With DSLR movie making becoming more and more popular, we are finding a lot of inspiration in indie short films such as MOVE by Rick Mereki.

MOVE isn’t a hardware heavy short film nor is it a lighting or technical masterpiece. What is MOVE? It is a simple yet brilliant short film concept and vision with stellar execution. In total, all it took to create MOVE was a DSLR Camera, a Tripod some editing and a wonderfully creative vision (and possibly a buddy to man your camera so it doesn’t get stolen while you are recording, ha!).

I know you are asking, “What’s the point Pye?” Well the point is this. Photography, film making and any other creative art isn’t about gear and “if only I had…” statements, it is about concepts and visions. Get inspired, get outside and MOVE!
