There are heavy trade offs to both systems Ameed. Each are good triggers in their right, both with their advantages and disadvantages. I would rate PW3s and Radio Poppers each at 5/5

I wouldn't rate this at 5 stars!! I don't care if it is the the industry standard or not. 5/5 means it is perfect .. and it is not. Untill bocketwizard include the TLL capability in it, it is only a 4!! Having to buy a set for normal operation, and another one for TTL, means there is a space for improvement, and I am holding on getting the BocketWizard till there is one reciever that gets all my required done. Like RadioPopper for example.

They rate them at 250th of a second, but we still see shutter/sync issues at that speed, reliably at 200th of a second which means you will still need an ND filter in certain situations (like shooting wide open in the middle of the day).

What type of receiver do they pair with(cheapest way)? I have a standard nikon speedlite and an alienbees. I think at most I'll get 1 or 2 editional alienbees but I'll stick with those lower cost unit for a long time. I was using cyber sync and it was okay reliable with their price. But syncspeed can't go over 1/160 which drives me crazy sometimes. If pocketwizard can replace them it will be awewsome although I don't think I need those fancy grouping just yet (cuz I hve to run to my bees and push it physically anyway). Any suggestions?
