DigitalRev’s Review of the Canon EOS M. Is it Worth It?

We all know that Canon and Nikon are two behemoths in the camera world. Yet, when it comes their mirrorless camera offerings, the two companies opted to use sensors that are smaller than APS-C sensors. Furthermore, the relatively simple controls and minimal direct access to camera functions for manual shooting suggest that the Nikon 1 Series and Canon EOS M are more aimed to consumers looking to step from point and shoot cameras as opposed to professional and enthusiasts looking for smaller, full-featured alternatives to their big body DSLRs.

The always entertaining Kai from DigitalRevTV recently got a chance to take the EOS M for a quick spin. He tested out the camera’s shooting functions, as well as how it performs with Canon L lenses and in shooting video. So how did he like the Canon EOS M? Check out the video to find out!

If you are interested in the Canon EOS M, you can pre-order it via Amazon.com or B&H Photo Video.

The expected release is October 31st.

So what do you think readers? Is the Canon EOS M going to be on your holiday shopping list?
