Not to be outdone by the Nikon D600, Canon’s EOS 6D body has also found it’s way down below the $2,000 mark, for a limited time. Right now both B&H and Adorama are listing the 6D body at $2099, just add one to your cart to see the $100 savings. …Amazon is just plain listing the 6D at $1999. (I wonder if there is such a thing as the MAP police?)
(NOTE: Be careful, the savings and bundles are confusing- both B&H and Adorama have bundled extras that you can get, however it looks like Adorama doesn’t give you the $100 shopping cart savings if you get the bundle, only the body. Amazon.com does not offer the bundled extras in the $1999 price.)
Of course the Nikon D600 still holds the record for lens bundle savings from a month or two ago, ($700 in savings?) …however Canon users will still be delighted to hear that there is also currently a $200 instant savings offer available for the 6D with 24-105 f/4 L IS, with an ADDITIONAL savings (not mentioned due to MAP, minimum advertised price) …that brings the total kit price down to $2499.
(Again, note that this additional savings is only through B&H. Adorama only offers the initial $200 savings with the kit, and Amazon does offer the $2499 price but without the kit. We’re just trying to educate any shoppers out there who might be confused about which deals are happening where! Basically, B&H has the best deals this time. :-)
(Additional Note: B&H, Adorama, and Amazon are offering a 2% cash-back program. For those of you who are bad at math, that’s rougnly a $40 gift card for the body-only, and a $50 gift card for the body+lens kit!)
