How to Increase the Dynamic Range of your Canon 7D and 5D Mark II Video Footage

We came across a great little tutorial teaching you how to use picture styles to get the most dynamic range from your video footage shot on a Canon 7D, 5D Mark II or whatever Canon DSLR.

Now, keep in mind that this method of increasing dynamic range does create a very flat image. So, I would recommend using this method only when additional production and color grading is going to be added. Otherwise, your footage is going to look quite bland.

Check it out below!

Think i saw this one already some time back when i was posting something there but thanks again for sharing. The picture styles work well i’ve discovered on my 7D! I only forget to turn them off sometimes when shooting plain.
